Meet tomorrow at LLL. We will go over the particulars of the fieldtrip to see the Lesser Prairie Chicken this weekend, including how to draw a bird in motion.
Afterward we'll work on wildflower identification on the trail (since it was too cold on the canoe trip for any of them to be out yet). Jordan reports seeing some on his bike rides in to school.
Bring: art kit, bird field guide, wildflower field guide. Jordan will bring the journals.
Jordan and I will be riding our bikes to LLL; we''ll be leaving at 1:45 from the OPC. If anyone wants to join us, email me so we will know to wait for you.
Note for this weekend: We'll cook a dutch oven dinner Friday night, rise early to see the grouse do their courtship thing on the lek, and have breakfast. After breakfast we'll do a service project for the biologist working on the LPC, then we'll have a bite for lunch and head home. You don't need to worry about bringing food, tents, or sleeping bags/pads.
