This week's journal assignment: Look for third places. Identify and describe them, and make an argument for why they are third places.
For next week, read 'Classic Coffeehouses," in your course packet. Be prepared to lead a discussion on it. In reading the essay, choose questions that you might ask the class in your capacity as discusssion leader.
